Volkssport Association of British Columbia (VABC) serves to unify the
BC volkssport clubs and to promote their mutual cooperation, all within
the Canadian Volkssport Federation (CVF). We are a non-profit
organization dedicated to promoting healthy, non-competitive volkssport
activities for people of all ages throughout the province. Although
volkssporting activities include walking, swimming, cross-country
skiing and cycling, walking events are the most popular among
volkssporters in BC.
are seven clubs in British Columbia, offering a wide variety of
walks. Walks include parks, forests, urban
trails, and glorious lake and ocean views. In addition, VABC is
responsible for over 30 other walks spread throughout the province. We
invite walkers of all
join us on a walk. New members are welcome, but membership is not
mandatory in order to join one of our walks. We'd love to
meet you! And your first five walks are free! After that the cost is
just $1 or $2 per walk.

next VABC AGM will be held on Wednesday, April 1st, 2020 at the South
Delta Recreation Centre, 1720 - 56 Street, Delta V4L 2B1 hosted
by the Surrey Trekkers Volkssport Club. Join us for a 5 or 10 km
walk, followed by lunch at the Centre ($15) and the AGM.
the AGM, Surrey Trekkers and Vancouver 'Venturers will host walks on
Thursday April 2 to Sunday April 5. All are invited. Details to follow.
- Please note the new start point for PT101 False Creek, Vancouver. It will now start at Starbucks Coffee, West Broadway V6J 1Y1
is also a new location for the walk box of two Nanaimo PTs. The walk
boxes for PT096 Nanaimo Downtown and PT158 Nanaimo Westwood can
now be found at Thrifty Foods, Port Place, 650 South Terminal Ave
are several new PTs in BC in 2020 - Seasonal 327 at Vancouver Locarno
Beach, Seasonal 328 at North Vancouver Lonsdale Quay and PT022 at
the Victoria "Y" Volkssport Club ceased operations at the end of 2019.
PTs will continue at Cedar Hill Rec Centre, Oak Bay Rec Centre and
Esquimalt Rec Centre but with some new routes at each location
- The bicycle PT066 has moved from the Victoria Henderson Rec Centre. It will now start at the Oak Bay Rec Centre.
